{Sunday's heartfelt tradition. A time to slow down, to reflect, to be grateful. A list of gratitudes.}

If you would like to join us, see below.
Our gratefulness feeds one another.

Throughout the week I've felt grateful for:

-The surprise of a honeysuckle blooming this time of year. (A good sign that the honeysuckle liked the new spot where we planted it and finally being out of a pot.)
.
-Plums cooking on the stove. Mmm mmm.
.
-Watching Bracken's joy in the sandbox. Sand, water, sticks, little shovel... so much fun to be had.
.
-The nice lady working in the post office (which makes it much more pleasant to mail out packages than when the grouchy lady is there.)
.
-Knitting with the new needles Jeff made me. It felt very special.
.
-Raw garlic on meals. I feel like a garlic maniac these days, my body craves it.
.
-Witnessing Bracken overcoming his fears. At first he was afraid of the rocking horse (that my Grandpa made and I used when I was little.) Now he rides it wildly and fearlessly. (And sometimes scares the bejesus out of me when he tries to stand on it and rock like a surfer.)
.
-Warm layers. Getting out wool socks and sweaters and soon more handknits too.
.
-My moon being gentle, with very mild cramps. It's the first time I'd had it in a long time (since I became pregnant with Bracken) and I appreciated the ease of transition.
.
-Bracken proudly helping carry wood into the house. He gets so happy helping and I love to see his face beam like that.
.
-Butterfly kisses and eskimo kisses (we've been calling them gnome kisses) with Bracken, ...just like my mom used to do with me.
.
-Peeks at Jeff and Bracken out the window while I packaged up some orders. I love watching them together at their tasks in the yard.
.
-Pulling myself away from distractions and being present with my family.
.
-Being showered with birthday love.
.
-My mom being the first to call and wish me Happy Birthday. Every year, she likes to be the first and I think it's really sweet.
.
-Jeff waking up so happy and telling me that Bracken held his hand through much of the night as he slept by his side.
.
-Relaxing with good friends and feeling so thankful for them.
.
-Jeff and my Dad making an awesome wood seat with a back you can lean up against. Now there's another great place to sit out in the yard.
.
-Getting to spend time with my Dad.
.
-How much easier projects are with help. We made a lot of progress clearing the yard and getting the woodshed filled with dry firewood. It feels so good to look back and see all the progress after a long day of hard work.
.
-My Dad bringing his chainsaw that works so much better than ours does.
.
-How expressive Bracken is in communicating with us.
.
-The sunshine. We've had bits of sun throughout the week and we've been savoring it because the rainy season is getting closer.
